Abu Huraira reported that the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) said:

Seven are (the persons) whom Allah would give protection with His Shade on the Day when there would be no shade but that of Him (i. e. on the Day of Judgment, and they are): a just ruler, a youth who grew up with the worship of Allah; a person whose heart is attached to the masjid; two persons who love and meet each other and depart from each other for the sake of Allah; a man whom a beautiful woman of high rank seduces (for illicit relation), but he (rejects this offer by saying):" I fear Allah" ; a person who gives charity and conceals it (to such an extent) that the right hand does not know what the left has given: and a person who remembered Allah in privacy and his eyes shed tears. (Bukhari And Muslim)

Explanation of the Hadith:

The Day of Judgment is the day that is intolerable in terms of extreme heat, horror, punishment, terror, panic and grief. But only those lucky and pious Muslims will be safe who have received Allah’s special mercy and grace, among them are seven people who give little sacrifice in this short life but will achieve rest under the shade of Allah’s throne on that sorrowful day.

1: Just Ruler: A ruler or leader who undertakes his job with justice, integrity and provides complete service to his nation will be under the shade of Allah’s throne. Also it’s mentioned in another Hadith that Allah (the exalted) answers the supplication of a just leader. Another narration also states that a ruler who dies in the condition of perfidy to his nation will not enter paradise and on the Day of Judgment a flag of his treachery will be raised up & he will be introduced to all as a traitor. (Muslim)

2: Pious Youth: Youth is a time where desires erupts tremendously than any other age; thus walking on the path of Islam in this age is highly rewardable. A pious young who repulses the desires of his young age, spends his life in the worship of Allah (the exalted) will be resting under the shade of the throne on the Day of recompense. In order to keep chastity one has to build a strong bond with scholars and righteous friends & avoid bad company.

3: Man loving Masjid (Mosque): This is a man who always attends congregational prayers, after each prayer he waits for the next one. We should never miss congregational prayer; a person who prays regularly & properly in the Masjid will be resting under the shade of the throne & will get countless other rewards & benefits. A person who is active in prayer will also be active in all other commands of Allah (subhanahu wata’ala) because the prayer protects a person from all kinds of shameful & unjust deeds.

4: Loving someone for Allah’s sake: Those two people whose love is caused only by Islam. A good example of loving someone for Allah’s sake is that of scholars and students who are busy in acquiring Islamic knowledge, they meet and separate for this reason only. Their love is neither for worldly gains nor kinship but for the sake of Allah ta’ala only.

5: Rejecting illicit call of a woman: This is a chaste man who when invited by a charming woman of high rank and he rejects her call. We have a great example of this in the story of Prophet Yusuf (pbub), which in result Allah (the exalted) granted him the kingdom of Egypt as a worldly reward. Nowadays this entrapment is widespread, the best way-out to this trap is marriage (as described in another Hadith) and also staying away from those places where men and women are mixed up whether it be an office, wedding, educational institute or other gatherings.

6: Giving charity secretly: the words “…the right hand does not know what the left has given” indicate that he gives charity so secretly that no one notices it, means he gives it solely for the pleasure of Allah (the exalted) not for showing off. Any good action that is for showing off to people is invalidated and will be liable to punishment on the Day of Judgment.

7: Weeping when Allah is remembered: A person who remembers Allah (the exalted) in privacy, or he remembers the greatness or favors of Allah (the exalted) and his eyes get flooded with tears will also be under the shade of the Throne.

----------------

As a matter of fact every sincere Muslim in the world wishes to be a good servant of Allah (the exalted) but since the environment or the people whom he lives with are mostly devoted to worldly matters hence he cannot achieve that state. If we want to be successful in both worlds, insha Allah an Islamic atmosphere will make it easy for us.
